Frank Dell

W. Frank Dell II has been a management consultant since 1977 and began his consulting and corporate experience in 1968. Prior to Frank Dellfounding DELLMART, Frank was Vice President directing Cresap's Food and Consumer Products Practice and Senior Partner and Director of Case and Company directing its Food and Distribution Practice. He also worked earlier for Colgate-Palmolive, American Can and General Foods.

Mr. Dell has performed a wide range of assignments in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, distribution, retailing, operations, pricing, organization, productivity improvement, data processing and research. Clients have included manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, distributors and trade associations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Russia, Middle East and Africa.

A pioneer in the concept and application of Direct Product Profitability (DPP), Mr. Dell has directed numerous major studies modeling the costs of manufacturing, retail food, chain drug and food service industries. He served as an advisor to FMI, NMRI, National Candy Wholesaler Association and Committeé International des Entreprises A Succursales (CIES).

Mr. Dell is the creator of IBIS, a buying and inventory control system; focus marketing and category management organization concepts; customer synchronization and comprehensive customer service operating concepts. His work on Total Company Productivity, Total System Profitability, Supply Chain Management for Retail and Total Store Labor Control has been well received.

Mr. Dell received a B.S. in management from Northeastern University and an M.B.A. in marketing from Iona College. He is a frequent speaker for numerous organizations, including FMI, Food Distributors International and NGA. The Foodservice Distributor, Progressive Grocer, IGA, Grocery Marketing publish his articles. Mr. Dell is a member of Strategic Leadership Forum, Institute of Management Consultants, Council of Logistics Management, Warehousing Education and Research Council, Committeé International des Entreprises A Succursales and Food Distribution Research Society. He is listed in Who's Who and is a Certified Management Consultant.

Frank is a member of the board of directors of Perekriostok Supermarkets, a company whose format and operations, he designed from its inception and of TDS Logistics, both in Moscow, Russia.


Craig Furer

Craig Furer has worked in the retail industry since 1991. Craig is a Senior Business Analyst and a seasoned Project Manager.

Craig brings to his clients wide ranging expertise in both the management and technical arenas, and is skilled in virtually all areas of focus within the retail IS environment. As such, clients frequently call upon Craig to undertake unique and complex challenges to expedite progress that oftentimes would require the time and coordination of multiple associates.

Craig’s application experience includes full project life cycle implementations of POS, store replenishment, warehouse and distribution, business reporting, sales audit, financial, payables, inventory control, human resource management, and customer affinity systems. In the area of technical infrastructure he has lead the implementations of wireless systems for warehouse and stores, corporate and departmental Unix/MS servers, data and voice networking, POS hardware, and store re-engineering. His versatility has caused our clients to continually extend his engagements to include new projects.

He has managed a $20MM Store-Systems project for Barnes & Noble, has managed multiple major projects at Coach during that company’s major systems implementation initiative. Craig managed the implementation of several pieces of a store and merchandise systems implementation at Party City, managed the implementation of JDA WMS module at Lechters and served as VP of IS for Conway Stores. Craig possesses a keen ability to understand the environment and lead people through complex implementations.


Robert Lawson

Robert Lawson is an Information Services Executive with proven management, technology, and planning skills. He has been a member of many an Industry Committee.  Robert’s effectiveness as a consultant Robert Lawsoncomes from real world business experience with retailers like Dillard Department Stores and Eckerd Drug Company, where Robert managed, financially justified, architected, developed, implemented and maintained retail systems, improving both the top and bottom line for the retailer.  Robert’s technical experience spans hardware, software and infrastructure utilizing mainframes, mini’s and microprocessor based systems to today's embedded systems technologies.  Starting the marketing department for MidSouth Data Systems (MSDS, renamed to KYRUS after MBO) and supporting customers and retail conferences around the world provided Robert with a global understanding of retail best practices and MSDS revenues grew from $25 million to $93 million within a four-year period. Since 1998, Robert has consulted for both major software solution providers and the top retailers across the retail verticals. His experience as a retailer, solution provider, and consultant provides Robert with a unique perspective on retail business practices and what are the most effective technologies to address the business needs for today and in the future.


Mark Lilien

Mark has worked since 1976 as a change agent, executive and consultant for retailers and suppliers to retailers. He was a consultant with Booz, Mark LilienAllen & Hamilton. Mark also held VP, CEO, COO, and consulting positions with retail companies (Waldenbooks, Lechters, Barnes & Noble, The Big Party, Kate’s Paperie, Sam Flax) and with suppliers to retailers (Wilton Industries) in a variety of product categories, including books, stationery, office furniture, groceries, housewares, and department stores. He's brought 2 runaway ERP projects under control, negotiated and managed multiple 8-figure outsourcing contracts, and located, designed, built, and shut down several distribution centers. He was a co-founder of SpecNet (now called Retex) and Pubnet, and 4 on-line services.

Throughout his career, Mark has characterized his leadership with a pragmatic approach to strategic planning, implementation, and information systems problems alike. His experience includes merger and acquisitions evaluation and implementation, new enterprise startups, restructuring (turnarounds), selling businesses, and refinancing.

Mark brings to RTG an added dimension of skills and experience in retailing, whereby RTG can offer past and prospective clients a broader range of business management services.
