John J. O'Leary

John O'Leary began his career in the development and implementation of retail information systems as both a consultant and line manager in 1970. His work experience prior to consulting includes extensive senior management experience with several national department store chains and as managing director of a software vendor supplying turnkey systems to retailers. In the latter position, he directed the development and implementation of new modules and the redesign and updating of existing, older modules in a comprehensive, integrated merchandise management system. He has participated in the evaluation and selection of various automated Merchandise Management and POS systems and their implementation. His consulting experience includes numerous engagements working on Merchandise Planning processes and systems on behalf of Retail Systems & Services. 

Other consulting efforts for retail companies have included work in the areas of Cost/Benefit Studies, Overall System Requirements Definitions, and System Implementations.
